Entertainment Series

The award-winning Summer Entertainment Series, conducted in Cabarrus County's largest amphitheater at Village Park, continues to attract over 45,000 people annually from Kannapolis and the surrounding Charlotte region. 

Splash Pad

In addition to the events at the amphitheater, the Splash Pad offers fun all summer long with its water cannons, geysers and jets.  Hours of operation are currently - Saturdays from 10am - 7pm and Sundays from Noon - 6pm through September 13th.  Admission is $1.00 per person playing in the water.

Rotary Express Train

Visitors to Village Park can also enjoy a leisurely ride on the Rotary Express Train, a g-24 scale replica CP Huntington engine and three coaches that was a new addition to the park in 2008. Hours of operation are currently Saturdays from 10am - 7pm and Sundays from Noon - 6pm through October 18th.  Admission is $1.00 per person.  The Winterland Express Train will re-open during the month of December for the Celebration of Lights. Admission is $2.00 per person.

Village Park Building

For your next special event look no further than the Park Building at Village Park! Perfect for wedding receptions, family reunions, rehearsal dinners, corporate meetings, birthday, anniversary or holiday parties, bridal and baby showers and much more! The multipurpose room seats about 100 in an auditorium style seating and holds about 75 comfortably in a round table dining fashion. For Kannapolis residents, the rental fee is approximately $55 per hour.  Please see our facility use policy or contact Parks and Recreation.
