Summersville Lake has never disappointed me. When its warm, there are friendly folks at the campground and there are plenty of opportunities to socialize. During the colder season it is an awesome place to walk around (especially if you're a bit of a geology nerd such as myself). Great for camping, fishing, boating, skiing, etc. It is an ideal outdoorsy lake area. Beautiful area. Nice town.

We had an absolute blast here we used paddle boards and canoes and had a nice trip around the lake we were able to jump off some Cliffs but be advised it is illegal..🎶 as long as I'm alive I'm a live illegal🎵🎶 but this is an absolutely fantastic Place rather you have a powerboat or a non-powered boat the views are breathtaking and almost looks like something out of Jurassic Park
