We love this lake, we take our boat out here often. It gets pretty busy on nice or holiday weekends, but is always a good time. Great scenery and rock cliffs. Deep lake and is usually really clean. Definitely recommend.

Peaceful and quiet. I good place to go just to get away from everything and every day Life. Great for picnics, great fishing, you are able to walk all the way around the lake and there is also camp grounds for camping.

Summersville Lake has never disappointed me. When its warm, there are friendly folks at the campground and there are plenty of opportunities to socialize. During the colder season it is an awesome place to walk around (especially if you're a bit of a geology nerd such as myself). Great for camping, fishing, boating, skiing, etc. It is an ideal outdoorsy lake area. Beautiful area. Nice town.
