Stephen Day park was opened to the public with a grand opening event on July 26, 2005. The park is on the corner of East Mountain View Ave and Deerwood Dr., south of Fall River Elementary School. The park was named in honor of Stephen Day, a local Vietnam war veteran who won a distinguished service award and a Bronze Star.
