We were so impressed!!! Great for families! Ranger L took us and another family on a late night scavenger hunt and the next morning shared some tips and information about the local fish with us and our kids. She was awesome and very friendly! Our campsite was clean and close to clean restrooms as well.

DONT GO HERE TO PLAY DISC GOLF. I went and paid $16 dollars for 4 people to enter the park. We went to the lake which was shallow and the water was warm. The prairie dogs were cool to see but everything else was overall just crappy. I went to play disc golf after that. The grass was tall and it had irritated my and my father and sisters legs so much that it turned red and started having bumps. It hurt. So we left after playing 4 holes because we couldn’t take it anymore. I tried to get a refund for my Experience here and they wouldn’t refund me because I was here for exactly 1 hour. But anybody who played disc golf knows it takes well over 1 hour to play 9 holes. Overall experience was CRAPPY. I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

Excellent state park. It is very well kept up, the day use areas are very good, great play ground for kids, nice facilities. The Camping areas are excellent! There are several loops with power & water. Well kept dump station. I used a water only site (I'm100% solar), those sites are basically on the water, VERY spacious sites, nice parking spaces, well kept table areas. You won't regret a weekend camp here!!👍🐸🚐⛺

Parked my car incorrectly at the family's campsite because the site dident have space for a second car. As i went to move it the park officer request my ID I assume to see if i had outstanding warrants. The entire situation was uncomfortable and embarrassing for my family and I that paid money to enjoy the park with every attention of following the rules. .

The prairie dogs! THE PRAIRIE DOGS!! Might be a nuisance while camping but we had so much fun on a day trip to see them, and we had no idea they're so active. They'll come right up to you and talk, even gang up to surprise you! Don't feed them, but do take the kids to get up close with the wildlife!
