Located in the central part of Cabarrus County, this beautiful 238 acre park used to be a working farm for Stonewall Jackson Training School. The land was leased to the county for development of the first County Park named in honor of Mr. Frank Liske, who worked at Stonewall Jackson Training School for 48 years and was instrumental in acquiring the land for lease from the state.

Relics of Stonewall Training School farm are still available for the public's enjoyment including a refurbished dairy barn and silo. The barn is a popular spot for family/community gatherings with four separate rental areas including an enclosed heated and air conditioned upper level of the barn. Park amenities include a 10 acre lake for fishing and paddle boating, picnic shelters, picnic sites, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, playgrounds, and 6 lighted tennis courts. Additional amenities include an 11 field soccer complex with 2 lighted fields, a 4 field lighted softball complex, walking and fitness trails, a nature trail, and an 18 hole miniature golf course. The soccer complex is operated in cooperation with FC Carolina Alliance and the City of Concord Parks and Recreation Department. Additionally, Frank Liske Park is managed as a wildlife and nature preserve to the area's natural resources.

The Barn serves as home base to the 8 week summer Day Camp with approximately 650 campers each year. Other activities include sports camps, nature camps and classes, tennis classes, nature workshops, 3 Road Races, and various community events. The softball complex serves as hosts to adult league play and various tournaments throughout the year and the soccer complex serves as host to league play as well as various tournaments throughout the year.
