Best camping spot great views clean toilets love the open air private showers. The huge gazebo over looking the ocean is fantastic. Free firewood everyday the staff is the best ever! They have food lockers. For folks that want more of a getaway instead of tent camping the now have mini home trailers overlooking the ocean.

Fort Wadsworth is a great free place to visit for all ages. Good place for a run or bike ride with great views of the Verrazano Bridge as well as Manhattan and Brooklyn. Tours of the fort itself are offered where they bring you into the fort and explain the history of the area and its role in American history

Pretty scenic views of the city and the surrounding area. Two cool forts which don't have too much historical significance since they never experience battle. In general the forts are kind of closed down and in disrepair. Would be nice if the NPS was able to invest some money into the park and make it a better experience.

Fantastic location of great historical value to New York City. Thankfully, this long decommissioned military site has been preserved granted the public access to it. This is also a great scenic location, overlooking the Brooklyn landscape, Verazzano bridge and the downtown Manhattan city line.

A nice place to walk during fair weather seasons. The view of the Verrazano Bridge is spectacular and there are plenty of little treasures to find while exploring. If you walk east along the water, you'll end up at South Beach and eventually the boardwalk. Coast Guard Sector New York is located here and so are the National Park Service. There's a lot going on within this space but it's still friendly for visitors.
