About Us:

Located at the corner of Big Tree Street and Main Street in the Village of Livonia (across from West's Shurfine), Vosler park is a small "pocket park" in honor Livonia native and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Forrest "Woody" L Vosler and all the men and women who have served or are serving our country. This quiet setting offers people a place to site and recall the sacrifices that our armed forces have made.

Woody was raised on Linden Street in the Village of Livonia and graduated from Livonia High School in 1941. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp and as a result of his heroism, as part of a B-17 crew, was awarded the Medal of Honor.

The park was created by the Village through the contributions of hundreds of individuals and organizations. Flowers, commemorative pavers and park benches encirlce the memorial and provide a place to rest and reflect.
