Information on:

Connor Battlefield Historic Site

The site consists of 20 camping and picnic sites nestled in an oxbow of the Tongue River in the shade of large cottonwoods. There are two restrooms, a playground, and horseshoe pits. Each camping and picnic site has a grill and table and two sites are ADA accessible. Connor offers a quiet, relaxing campsite, away from the hustle of the road in the peaceful shade of a river bottom. Community facilities are within a few blocks, and yet a visitor would never know it. Camping sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis, without reservations. Camping is seasonal. The park closes to camping and vehicles on October 31.

We camped here for the night and it was fine. It was cheap and quiet, deposited money in the box at the entrance. Pit toilets only. The Tongue river was raging! There's a bridge that crosses from the campground area into town. There is historical signage explaining the significance of the site. The playground area and water supply were closed off- most likely due to recent flooding.

Beautiful park by the river with picnic tables, campsites, and pit toilets! The river is the best - it's super rapid with lots of water flowing through it. There's even a super old suspension bridge over the river that is great for bouncing on! If you have little kids, there's even a playground that is super fun to play on!

Grassy, quiet, and clean. The Tongue River is beautiful, with lots of birds. Seems like a local swimming hole. Lots of tables in picnic, camping areas.
