We have a beautiful State Park here in Logan County. Many different playgrounds to choose from for your kids to go and run some energy out, many different walking trails with beautiful scenary, pond to go fishing, a small zoo for the kids, a nice public swimming pool with a slide, high and low dive, and kiddie pool. During the Holiday season we have a beautiful display of Christmas lights that is free to the public and ran off of donations. I have always had love for our beautiful State park!

This is the local state park where I live, it's immaculately kept, the pool is refreshing on hot summer days, it's a great place for family gatherings & it's in the friendliest town in West Virginia!

This is one of my most favorite places in the world!! From the pool to the fishing pond, from the basketball courts to the fitness trails, and from the convention center to locomotive this place has been a must see for anyone going through our area for as long as I can remember? Where else can you spend a day such as this, wake up to breakfast, coffee and maybe even a quick workout in the convention center hotel, then you can lay around lazily and relax and swim in the hotel, or take a quick little drive into the park to the public swimming pool. After an afternoon of swimming head over to one of the many shelters and fire up a barbeque pit for dinner. Don't be surprised when some unexpected visitors show up for a snack, it's ok though, they are good for posing for photos cause where else can you feed deer by hand and take pictures of it? After dinner head on back to the lodge and get the fire pit ready for a bonfire!! It takes a special place to be able to build memories like the ones you can build here!! I love chief Logan state park!!!
