This is such a lovely & family friendly place. We camped one night and had a wonderful breakfast w the most amazing view on the top of the mountain. I’d never been inside the restaurant until then so I was blown away by the view, the excellent service and prices. The Buffett had started to close so the food wasn’t so great but had we gone earlier I have no doubt it would have been delicious. We will return and I recommend it to anyone.

I grew up camping at Cheaha. Real camping with tents, no power and having to bring in our own water. There are so many outdoor activities you can't do them all in one day and dogs are welcome😀. Such beauty on all the look out points. The lake is clean and there is great history that built Cheaha to what it is today. Great place to go camping, a one day event or a nice ride on the motorcycle.

We stayed here one night, (in the bottom lake campgrounds) the sites are spacious with shade trees and gravel pads. (Full hook ups) the bathrooms were spotless and air conditioned (huge plus) It really was a beautiful area. We also enjoyed the lake for a cool dip. The only negative I would give is the employees lack of information they give out about the area and amenities. With all that said we would definitely return.

Very good and fun state park. They have accomadating trails for the disabled, new hikers, and experienced or daring hikers alike. Very good experience. However, activities besides hiking are somewhat limited as the lake seemed a bit dirty and the public swimming pool is quite small. The restaurant is also just average if not a little below. You'll have fun if you go here planning a hiking trip for sightseeing and challenging yourself, but beyond that you might want to look elsewhere.

Stayed in the upper campground. Had all the hook-ups for power, water, & sewer. Bathhouse is very clean and well kept. Campgrounds were clean and routinely patrolled by park personnel. For Verizon users, service is very spotty at best. Roads in the campgrounds could use some work. All in all a good visit. Recommend to others.
