Chattahoochee Bend State Park showcases a spectacular tract of wilderness in northwest Coweta County.  Located in a graceful bend of the Chattahoochee River, the park is a haven for paddlers, campers and anglers.  At 2,910 acres, Chattahoochee Bend is one of Georgia’s largest state parks, protecting five miles of river frontage.  A boat ramp provides easy access to the water, while more than six miles of wooded trails are open for hiking and nature photography.  An observation platform provides nice views of the river and forest.

Good park for family camping and adventuring outside of the Atlanta suburbia. Well maintained and clean campsites. Great trails for the kids. Mountain biking trails aplenty. Big brand new playgrounds. Right on the Chattahoochee. Mostly out in the country and quite, though you can hear the distant gas-fired power plant turbines in the background at night. One negative: some of the staff have been pretty rude to my family and I on multiple occasions (acting like I'm asking stupid questions, general lack of tact and politeness). The camp host for the walk in tent sites hovered over my family and I like we were about to do something wrong. It didn't ruin the experience, but I'd prefer not to be treated that way.

Beautiful and serene. It felt like it was very set apart from city life and had great scenery to view while hiking. The trails were pretty diverse and well kept. Even the check-in station/gift shop was great! Souvenirs and food as well as light camping supplies.

Really nice place, and it appears to be new or recently renovated! Nice big cabins, play grounds, very nice pavilions (2 with covered grills) they are near the boat ramp, rv hookups, deck camping, and very nice boat ramp on the Chattahoochee.
