Newnan - Chattahoochee Bend State Park

425 Bobwhite Way

Chattahoochee Bend State Park showcases a spectacular tract of wilderness in northwest Coweta County.  Located in a graceful bend of the Chattahoochee River, the park is a haven for paddlers, campers and anglers.  At 2,910 acres, Chattahoochee Bend is one of Georgia’s largest state parks, protecting five miles of river frontage.  A boat ramp provides easy access to the water, while more than six miles of wooded trails are open for hiking and nature photography.  An observation platform provides nice views of the river and forest.

Beautiful ! Clean ! Isolated. We saw several deer. Lots of birds. Bathroom and laundry room are very nice and clean! Even the dump station was clean! Dick the campground host was great: friendly and helpful. No telephone connection with T-Mobile but it seems that Verizon and ATT work. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Not expensive either!

Today was our first visit to Chattahoochee bend state park. We hiked some trails and visited the visitor center. This place has the cleanest and nicest bathrooms of any state park I have been to in Georgia. It is isolated and quite a drive for us, but we'll worth the time to get there.

Nice park! Clean. Beautiful lake! Not crowded likely due to it being late November. Power and water hook up worked great. Flat spot for RV and primarily grass. Rest rooms and showers clean but a long walk from RV sites (thus the -1 star). Would definitely stay here again and recommend to all.
