Nice campground but definitely way too close to the train tracks. Trains pass within 100 yards of the campsite at all hours of the night with horns blaring. Even with the free ear plugs the front desk provides, it's difficult to get restful sleep. The bathrooms had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The staff were friendly and helpful especially when we returned to our site from a day of adventuring to find that our fire logs and campfire forks had been stolen. We came across some very odd people at the campground that left us a bit nervous. Cascade Locks area is very pretty but probably will not stay at this KOA again.

Great Campground in beautiful Cascade Locks! Lots of shade, clean bathrooms, hot showers and a very friendly staff... And yes, the train tracks run parallel with the Columbia River Gorge and every campground on the Oregon side will hear/see it. We heard two trains this morning 2 hrs apart and three trains the night before, the last of which around 11pm... They were NOT every 20 mins today or yesterday 6/24 - 6/25... We had a Great stay and would certainly return and recommend this KOA if you are ever visiting Portland...

One of our very favorite KOAs. Awesome trees muffle highway sound. Some people don't like the trains. But really, where else are they going to put the track? And trains mean commerce is thriving! Overall, a wonderfully quiet campground with the deep forest feeling I used to get when camping as a kid. Smallish, but adequate, dog run area. Wild blackberry bushes all around. Nice size spaces. Great people manage it. And the pancake breakfast is not to be missed! Wonderful place to stay!

This campground is okay. It has a swimming pool (whose temperature was okay), bikes to rent, is dog-friendly, has good water, a reasonably-priced little store, a good, affordable pancake breakfast on the weekends, a friendly staff, and a nice game room for kids. However, it is RIGHT next to a train track with dozens of trains that go by at all hours of the day/night, the bathrooms were not the cleanest (with terrible toilet paper), we camped on dirt (although some sites have grass), and the hot tub was lukewarm (if that), only two of the six jets actually worked, and you have to be 18 or over to use it. Overall, it was a decent experience. Kind of a mixed bag of good and bad, though.

Unfortunately it sits right next to the railroad. About every hour or so a train passes, blowing its horn with screeching metal. It is deafening. Other than that it was a so - so campground. The area for tent camping is cramped. The RV spots seemed decent enough, maybe on the smaller end, I don't use an RV so I'm not the best judge for that. It does have a pool and a hot tub (hot tub only accessible by those 18 years and older). Plus the location (Cascade Locks) is a very nice place to visit and wander around.
