This campground is very spacious and well kept. There is a day use area with swimming, walk in tent camping spots, RV slots with hookups, and a very nice boat launch. The hosts do a very good job maintaining the area keeping it free from garbage and dangerous tree limbs. Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash at all times (should be obvious but some people don't understand that concept). The bathrooms are very clean and are cleaned twice a day most of the time. Overall this is a very nice place to take your family whether you're just boating for the day or camping overnight. I would highly recommend a trip here.

It was a last minute Edison... Never been there. But I was anticipating "more". Lots of open spaces for camping, and the day access portion had lots of available parking. However, the swimming access was very limited. The most popular area looked like a mud bath because of how many people were in such a small space. We did find a very tiny little cove (big enough for 2 or 3 people), that we liked a little further away from the main swim spot. My biggest issue was the restrooms... Urine and toilet paper all over the floors... Commodes not clean... Sinks not clean... Floor was filthy in general. Although there was a built - in reciprocal for trash, there were no paper towels, or even soap to wash your hands. If your a germ-a-phoebe, you get the problem with that 🤔👐😔 While it wasn't a horrible visit, I've paid less for more. I felt 36$ was high. Would we stay there again? Maybe, if we were looking to just run away not far from home for a night or two... But it's look into other places first.

It's not a bad campground if you need to camp close by home. Easy access to the campground and restroom/ showers, but there are spiders in every shower stalls. There is also security check maybe every 4 - 6 hours. The security said no generator, but there was an issue bc it states on the website policy that you can use from 10 am to 8pm. He gave us a hard time and even had maybe management or someone from the fire department come check our generator. we felt harrassed! We will never camp here again for $121 per night, not an ideal camping for big families.

Lots of holes. I stepped in one that was Knee deep😡 We had to look down when we walked everywhere except on the road.😠 Bathroom and showers were in great condition👍👌I liked the sink area adjacent to the restroom👍👌

I am a person who loves camping. My wife and I would go camping every single weekend if we could. For many years now my family and I have gone camping for the 4th of July and Brandon Island has been our favorite place to go. Well this year has changed that thought. The experience we had was the worst ever. The Camp Managers seem to be on some kind of harrassing mode. If we had sneezed too loud someone was at our campsite. We are campers who follow the rules of the camp grounds to the "T", so we will not have any worries and enjoy ourselves camping. We were approached each day we stayed there,.with things we were never approached with before in all the years camping there. We had to show our paid receipts for the site, our boat launching, it just slowly started to become overwhelming. Camping was not fun nor relaxing for us anymore, we were worried they would be back again for something to harrass us with. It was truly unbelievable after awhile. I usually just blew bad experiences off if it wasn't that bad, but this experience was bad and will make me think twice now about ever camping there again. I would like to getaway and relax, not get away and be harrassed by the staff.
