This is a beautiful place and we had a great tour led by volunteers, and it didn't cost anything in addition to the price of admission. Be ready to walk quite a bit, and there's a high line trail for those who want an extra adventure. The variety of plants is quite wide-ranging, and the tour guides have interesting information about some of the trees and plants. As of March, 2018, Google Maps was still showing the old route instead of the new one. The highway was changed recently. So as you get close, watch the signs. If you are eastbound, make a right turn to get to the arboretum rather than a left.

My husband and i were hiking Silly Mountain last weekend we ran into one of your volunteers. Ann had great knowledge of the surrounding area, she told us about Boyce Thompson park and highly recommended it. Beautiful, easy access to walk the entire loop. This is definitely a must see for all of us snowbirds. Thanks to Ann

The Arboretum is a gem to the state of Arizona. We enjoyed the park for over four hours. The picnic area was beautifully shaded and the staff are welcoming and engaging to all visitors. Well worth the easy 1.5 hour drive from metro Phoenix. A must visit for your out of town guests.

My husband and I have been members of Boyce Thompson Arboretum for several years. We enjoy hiking the various trails and have attended some of the talks, every time we come away seeing something different and learning something new. It never gets old. We are excited to see the growth and expansion taking place. And the plant sale is so much fun, talk about finding new and interesting plants.
