Bohn Park

219 2nd Avenue

Just south of the confluence of the North and South St. Vrain Creeks this beautiful 40 acre park was recognized by the Colorado Lottery for creative use of funds. Currently Bohn Park offers users a multitude of recreational opportunities including multi-use trails, baseball/softball fields, basketball court, multi-use soccer field, playground, Lyons Dirt Jump Skills Park for bikes, community garden, shelter facility/picnic areas, and Bohn Bark Off-Leash Dog Area-a pet designated area for dogs to run off leash. In addition, there is adequate river access that allows for great fishing along the river heading eastbound. Recent river improvement have made Bohn Park another great place to float on a tube, kayak through from Meadow to the Black Bear and October Holes, or just take a dip. Bohn Park provides a perfect backdrop for a day of fun.

The park is currently closed to the public for it is not yet complete. However, I was able to take a good gander...paths, planted trees and vegetation and one must not forget the river! It will be beautiful when opened and continue to grow and mature with age. I look forward to returning over the years.

Such a beautiful park. Wonderful walking trails throughout. Great place to dip your feet in the river to cool off on a hot day.

The community really doesn't want anybody around. They want your money but they don't want you to actually go there. I think the people of Lyons just want to be left alone.

It used to be a good park until the flood. I know they can't help a flood, but it has taken them YEARS to rebuild something that really didn't have much damage done to it.

Beautiful dog park. Google maps directions are not correct! Come in off 2nd St and park on the street or public lot or Bohne Park.
