Awesome place to hike, the trail right next to the river is a forest that drops off Into a ravine where the river is. It blew me away how cool it was.

Wonderful park and campsites look great and wooded as well. Perfect park for cycling (especially once the connection to the Sioux falls loop is finished)

My wife and I recently went on a hike here, we went on the trail called " valley of the Giants" what a beautiful trail! I can only begin to imagine how old some of the trees are for how huge they are. I enjoyed how the trail followed the river and covered varying grades of terrain. We also came across a yank yank ( mini woodpecker ) on a branch high in a tree ... We said hello but he didn't acknowledge our presence ... What an ass. The old log cabin is also a nice historical location to check out if you look to the Northeast of it there is a stairwell that leads down into an old pantry or maybe it was meant to be a bomb shelter not sure...

Do NOT stop here Do Not this place is nothing but a big mosquito pit. I don’t care how nice a place is if it is over run by mosquitoes no one is going to have a good time. “Mosquito hell hole”
