Annadel State Park

6201 Channel Drive

The park, 60 miles north of San Francisco on the eastern edge of Santa Rosa offers miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and trail riding.

For wildflower lovers, Annadel Park offers a great variety of flowers from early Spring until early Summer, especially on a hike around Lake Ilsanjo. The best months to see the park's wildflowers are April and May, but there are some plants in bloom as early as January and as late as September.

Nice park. Various places to park vehicle within or just outside to access. Multi-use trails, single track and double track (forest roads). Lake with a paved trail around it, a marsh that has come back to life after the fire, creeks, and rolling hills with steep inclines here and there. Many deciduous and conifer tree species with a trail into a redwood section littered with obsidian rocks. Visitors center with knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Beautiful park! Awesome views! Unfortunately not a whole lot of camping. WATCH OUT FOR MOUNTAIN BIKES!!! Pretty sure that this park is where 90% of the bad reputation comes from. Every last disrespectful rider on the west coast seems to ride here! Had to lunge to grab my 4 year old out of the way of bikers speeding downhill more than once. Had them come speeding up from behind without warning!

Wonderful park. Lots of trails. Something for everyone. A Sonoma County treasure.

Excellent mountain biking destination! I regularly drive up from Vallejo to ride here. The trails are a good mix of mellow flow and chunky gnar. It's a beautiful park with spacious meadows and mature forests. I'm glad to see it slowly opening back up after the wildfires.

Beautiful state park in Santa Rosa. It's great for hiking, MTB, and even horseback riding. I've been coming here since the 80s. It's still a wonderful getaway. The October 2017 fires impacted about 60% of the park, but the recovery is well underway (*April 2018).
