Great for what it is designed to be - a small state park with a sandy area and lake access. The park is largely clean with spots you can drop a kayak in the water. There are a few hiking and biking trails nearby, but they are not very long (under a mile) but the potential to see Bald Eagles does exist.

I wish people would clean up their trash. Beautiful place for everyone including the dogs. I hope everyone realizes how lucky we are to have such a nice park and they stop littering with cans and bottles..

MTB trails are quite technical and fun. Lots of loud terrible music coming from the beach and the parking situation is rather haphazard. Decent riding overall though.

Dog friendly, clean, no there are no bathrooms or vendors but there is a Porta-Potty and you can always pack a cooler if you plan on spending the day. Great place to bring a float/tube and catch some sun. Only gave 4 stars because it's getting crowded... Shhhh stop telling everyone lol
