Ackley Lake State Park

989 Ackley Lake Rd

Ackley Lake is nestled right in the heart of Montana's Big Sky Country. One glimpse and you'll easily understand how the beautiful views of the surrounding Little Belt and Snowy Mountains and rich agricultural land captured the heart of the legendary Western artist, Charlie Russell, a hundred years ago.

Today, the diverse water recreation opportunities at this 290-acre park include fishing, boating, picnicking and camping. Stocked with rainbow trout, the lake is often good angling for 10 to 15 inch fish. Ackley Lake has 15 campsites and two boat launches.

Great place to camp with the family. Large enough lake for multiple boating and other water craft at the same time. Fishing. Just plain beautiful place to see and be. Mosquitos were bad this past weekend. Think they were immune to the bug spray and were relentless. Other than that... a great time

This is a beautiful Lake and Campground right here in Central Montana I understand it is the largest lake in the area with no weight limit 4 speed boats most sites have a firepit and there is three primitive restrooms one on each side of the lake

Too many people letting their dogs run loose. There is a state park law to keep them on a leash, but nobody does. :(

Best place to go camping. Even when it is busy, it is still quiet.
